How to build a coffee table out of pallets

Alan read this post on The Wonder Forest and decided to make the same style of coffee table for our flat, to replace our $15 coffee table. The above is the result of two weekends of hard work and we think it's pretty great.

Pork and vegetables

Here's a recipe for a big batch of pork and vegetables. I made this today and predict it will at least make ten lunches (probably more). I've been a bit crook lately and I think it's due to a lack of colourful vegetable matter in my diet (and maybe also because I do not believe in getting the flu shot). This recipe therefore contains a lot of colourful vegetable matter because I'm sick of being sick.

Tatra Delicatessen, Parramatta

My_grandparents on my mum's side are Polish, so I was exposed to eating slices of Polish sausage, cabbage rolls and dumplings from a young age. Polish foods are pretty easy to source in Adelaide (for example, at the Central Market or one of the Standom shops), but here in Sydney, it can be somewhat trickier. Fortunately, I live 'close' (in Sydney, 30 minutes is 'close' by my standards) to Tatra Delicatessen in Parramatta, which specialises in Polish smallgoods and all other things Polish.

Possibly the best grain free banana bread

Last_weekend's plan was to go on a big walk in Sprngwood. Unfortunately, upon our arrival in Springwood we noticed the track was closed due to aerial burning. Hmm. What would we do with all the bananas we packed for our walk? Banana bread. That's what.
