Lemon delicious

I like to eat/drink when I am annoyed or worried about something. For exmaple, when I cannot reconcile an Excel spreadsheet at work and feel the urge to smash the Excel spreadsheet into little pieces, I make myself a cocoa. When my 'to do' list is packed with 'urgent' tasks, I drink another cocoa and ponder over the order in which to complete the tasks. When annoyed with my studies at home, I eat a boiled egg. When it takes me two hours to get home on the bus and I am upset as a result, I eat more boiled eggs, but with peas too! When I am worried, waiting to see if my $179, 8% metal skirt with  label 'DO NOT WASH' survives being washed, I eat lemon delicious pudding.

Do not panic; I did not pay $179 for the 'do not wash' metal skirt. I saw it at the sales; every so pretty, pockets, so soft, fits me (well, kind of...) and it was on special! My brain told me to buy it. While waiting for the skirt to dry, I was very worried about the potential costs of replacing such a skirt. What if it rusted?! Could I use rust removal spray on it? Is there such a thing as rust removal spray?! Could I wear a rusted skirt to work? Do silver and orange/brown rust colour go together? Would people know it was rust?

*panic panic* Calm down! Go and bake something! Ok:)

Lemon delicious pudding
Looking around the internet while still panicking slightly, I found a recipe for lemon delicious on Ooh, Look. I will not write up the recipe here, so instead, take a look at Bel's lovely blog:)

Bel tried the lemon delicious at Felix Bistro and enjoyed it so much that she recreated it at home. Unfortunately when I went to Felix Bistro last year, I was much too full for dessert, so there was no lemon delicious for me. If you ever have the chance to go to Felix Bistro, do go:)  The food is wonderful and the staff are helpful and know the menu well. Below are some photos I took at Felix Bistro.

Just like a real French bistro, minus many French people

Entree - Chicken liver pate, currant relish and cornichons with bread, $16. It was soooooo good!

Main - Duck confit, red grapes, walnut, frisee and radicchi, $32

No photo of a Felix lemon delicious pudding for dessert. Instead, I present to you my lemon delicious as per Bel's recipe. This lemon delicious pudding was my very first and I predict there will be more in the future:)

It's just like sponge cake! I was amazed by this; it is pudding, but cake. Do try it, it is so good. Nice and soft, lemony and down the bottom you will find a thick lemon curd. The only downside for me was that the pudding was so filling! I was struggling to finish my serve.

The pudding was also nice and calming. So, having calmed down as a result, I was able to check on the skirt without having a panic attack. It survived! Take that label!

Yay, potential rusty disaster avoided

Though I am still somewhat worried about the long term consequences of washing a 'do not wash, dry clean only' skirt. Has anyone had any experience in these sorts of matters?

  1. Hahaha I'm just like you! When i stress out I eat but you're so good, you eat boiled eggs and cocoa which is a lot better than the stuff I eat which is usually chocolate and cookies :)

I'm definitely going to give this recipe a try ~ YUMMY!

Btw your skirt looks fine so don't stress ~ Sometimes I think they have those 'dry clean only' tags just to scare you, just in case something does go wrong and you take it back to the store :D

  2. Who invented the excel spreadsheet. I'm working on one at the moment (or meant to be) but I can't make it work for me. I hate excel! But I love the look of your lemon delicious. I'm a big fan of citrus desserts.

  3. Cute skirt! And that's very cute about how you eat boiled eggs when in need. They're very comforting aren't they? Are they soft or hard boiled?

Chocolate and cookies are ok, if you are not stressed too much. But I get annyed too often to have such foods as my 'I am annoyed and need to eat' foods :)
Yes, you are right. They just say that so that if ANYTHING happens to your clothing, you cannot complain. Though, the girl at the shop told me she washes her things all the time and nothing ever happened...but she added 'but I can't promise nothing will happen'.

There is so much to learn in Excel. You could ask for some assistance with your spreadsheet; do you know of any 'experts'? What other citrus desserts do you like?

Thank you:) Yes, they are so comforting. I have them hard boiled; I am not so good at soft boiling, it is always much too soft. I boil five eggs at a time and then draw a cross on the top of each one and store them in the fridge. This way there is always an egg available to eat and it saves time and energy yay:) Do you have soft or hard boiled eggs?

Thank you for visiting girls:) Tomorrow is Friday yay:)
