Almond protein bars/cereal
I really like eating protein bars. However, itt can be difficult to find a good protein bar that is kind to your body. Many of them contain soy products, flavours, sugar and grains. They're also expensive. So, I decided to make my own protein bars...which then transformed into the 'cereal' you see above.

What I eat and my grain free journey
I thought I would do a post on what I eat in a week. I will tell you about the journey that got me to the food I eat these days. Perhaps some of you may relate to it. And this blog post will also assure my dad that I am eating enough:) What I eat has changed dramatically over the last five or so years and I now think I have finally found a way of eating that makes me feel good. I used to eat everything, including lots of junk food. Unhappy with the way I looked, I went on the 'conventional wisdom' diet of upping the whole grains and ditching the lollies, jam sandwiches and soft drinks. After this phase, I went into a 'I wont eat anything from an animal' phase. Luckily this did not last too long and I went back onto the 'conventional wisdom' approach. I then started to feel really ill in my stomach. All the time.

Great Southern Chocolates - Dark chocolate coated oranges
What are your favourite classic chocolate combinations? Strawberries and chocolate is a classic. Oh, banana and chocolate is too! Have you ever tried Nutella on orange slices? That is a real classic combination for me. When I found dark chocolate coated dried orange slices in the supermarket, I just had to try them. Impulse shopping in the name of classic combinations! And you know, people say dark chocolate is good for you:)
